Veterans Day Tribute: Honoring Will Fluitt, Marine Corps Veteran and HOLT Industrial Rentals Regional Sales Consultant

SAN ANTONIO, TX — Nov. 5, 2024 — This Veterans Day, we are proud to highlight one of our own: Will Fluitt, a Regional Sales Consultant with HOLT Industrial Rentals, whose service in the Marine Corps continues to shape his personal and professional life. Will's story exemplifies dedication, leadership, and resilience both on and off the battlefield.

Inspired by a close friend and mentor who served in the Marine Corps, Will enlisted in 2008 to fight for his country. He served for five years, including a deployment to Afghanistan in 2011 as part of the infantry. During his time in service, Will received several honors, including the prestigious Purple Heart for wounds sustained in combat and the Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal with Combat “V” for acts of valor.

Reflecting on his time in the military, Will shares, “Serving with people from all over the U.S. and the world gave me an open mind and a deep respect for all cultures. My experience in the Marines taught me a lot about leadership and the importance of leading by example, lessons I carry with me to this day.”

At HOLT Industrial Rentals, Will thrives in a role that keeps him on the move, meeting new people and building lasting relationships. “I love that my office is my truck,” he says. “Being on the road every day is a new adventure, and I enjoy getting to connect with people from all walks of life.”

The leadership skills he developed in the Marines directly benefit his work at HOLT, where he continues to build trust, foster collaboration, and demonstrate respect for every person he meets.

When Will isn’t working, his life revolves around family and fitness. He and his wife, high school sweethearts married for 16 years, are proud parents of three children: 14-year-old twins and a 12-year-old daughter. “My kids keep me busy with all their sports, but I wouldn’t have it any other way,” Will says with a smile. His idea of a perfect weekend? “Spending time at the lake with my family, wake surfing, and sleeping under the stars.” For Will, these moments of joy and connection are what life is all about.

This Veterans Day, we recognize and thank Will Fluitt not only for his military service but also for the values he brings to HOLT Industrial Rentals. Veterans Day Spotlight: Honoring Jonathan Carbonaro’s Journey from the U.S. Air Force to HOLT Industrial Rentals

SAN ANTONIO, TX — Nov. 5, 2024 — This Veterans Day, we are proud to spotlight Jonathan Carbonaro, a valued member of the HOLT Industrial Rentals (HIR) team. Jonathan's dedication to service – both during his military career and now with HIR – exemplifies the values of perseverance, teamwork, and problem-solving.

Jonathan joined the U.S. Air Force in July 2010, inspired by a need for adventure and direction after his freshman year of college. “The military offered the best chance to see the world and do things I might not have otherwise had the opportunity to do.” He served in the Air Force for seven and a half years, with five years spent in Security Forces and two and a half years as a Combat Arms Instructor. His military experience sharpened his teamwork and leadership skills, which now play a critical role in his position at HIR.

Jonathan credits his time in the Air Force for instilling the discipline and attention to detail needed to excel in his role as Retail Coordinator. “The ability to work in a small team environment to accomplish any task has been key,” he says. “Every day brings a new challenge, and I enjoy finding dynamic solutions that support our customers." Whether it’s coordinating trucks, managing contracts, or ensuring equipment is delivered on time, Jonathan takes pride in knowing he’s making a difference. “At the end of the day, we get to go home knowing we accomplished something and provided real solutions for our customers.

When Jonathan isn't at work, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing music, or winding down with video games. One of his favorite pastimes is going to the range, and his perfect weekend reflects his passions: “I’d take my son to the range, play some music, and watch our dogs try to herd the kids in the backyard,” he says with a laugh. He and his wife, Kaley, have been married for nine years. Kaley is also part of the HOLT family, working at Pro Tec for the past 13 years. Together, they have two children – 7-year-old Jon and 3-year-old Madelyn – as well as two dogs: an Australian Shepherd and a Border Collie.

A dedicated family man, outdoors enthusiast, and Army veteran, Jim brings an exceptional commitment to his work, his family, and the values he stands for. Here’s a look at his inspiring journey, both in and out of the military, and what motivates him today.

Jim’s journey to the Army was sparked by a practical goal: accessing the GI Bill benefits and a bonus offered during Operation Desert Storm. However, he quickly realized the profound honor and purpose the military brought to his life. A pivotal moment for Jim was his selection for the Command Post Color Guard at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, where he learned the power of setting and exceeding goals through dedication and integrity. This lesson has stayed with him, shaping his approach to both life and work.

After leaving the Army, Jim met his wife, Heather, also an Army Reservist. Their shared background in military service helped to forge a connection that has only strengthened over the years. Together, they have built a close-knit family with three sons: Brady, Riley, and Avery. Now grown, Brady is married and has a young son, Benjamin, while Riley and Avery are busy pursuing their education, with Riley as a college freshman and Avery as a high school junior. When he’s not at work, Jim loves to spend time outdoors, enjoying camping, kayak fishing, hiking, and golfing.

At HOLT Industrial Rentals, Jim values being part of a team that embodies strong values and a mission that truly resonates. “This is the first organization I’ve been at where the mission statement feels like a living, breathing thing embraced by everyone,” he shares. “Being part of something new and young, where I get to contribute to a shared culture and drive for excellence, makes my role here incredibly rewarding.”

HOLT Industrial Rentals Launches to Support Texas Businesses Ranging from Sports Arenas to Hospitals to Construction Sites

The newest business from industrial- and construction-equipment experts HOLT, will provide solutions-based rentals for increasing power, climate and industrial air needs.

SAN ANTONIO, TX — Nov. 7, 2022 — Seeking to address the growing needs of the $52 billion U.S. equipment rental market, HOLT Industrial Rentals, a HOLT company, launched today to provide specialty industrial equipment solutions throughout Texas.

The increased needs associated with expanding facilities, construction, and climate-based challenges have caused industries — including oil and gas, events, and manufacturing — to turn to full-service rental solutions, as opposed to purchasing and maintaining the equipment themselves. This is on top of the need for temporary equipment to support outages, maintenance, equipment reconditioning and business expansion.

HOLT Industrial Rentals offers turnkey solutions centered around industrial power (power generators, distribution, load banks, etc.), climate (chillers, air conditioners, heaters, etc.), and air (compressors, desiccant dryers, etc.) — often combining multiple elements for one holistic answer to customers’ challenges.

“Our customers are consistently asking for complete solution packages, not just individual pieces of equipment,” said Don Myrick, general manager of HOLT Industrial Rentals. “It eases the burden of running their businesses by offloading the expertise needed to plan out these large, temporary industrial solutions.”

According to a recent study by Koncept Analytics, the U.S. equipment rental market is expected to grow to $64 billion in 2025 at a CAGR of 5.47% from 2021-2025. The study cites that a “rise in party and event planning, growth in oil and gas production, rising employment and rapid urbanization would drive the growth of the market.”

“We’ve seen increased rental requests across our businesses and have always been an organization that pivots to meet the needs of our customers,” said Peter J. Holt, CEO of HOLT. “We understand the importance of rentals across the industrial, construction and facilities equipment industries and the role our services can play in the success of these businesses.”

In addition to the larger scale of operations and increased speed of business, companies are also feeling the strain of increased inclement weather such as freezes, heat waves and natural disasters that can bring business to a halt.

“Temporary industrial solutions are critical to keep productivity going at the pace necessary in today’s business landscape, and we are excited to launch this new company,” said Holt.
